Air Compressors
Rotary Screw
Rotary screw compressors operate on the principle of positive displacement. Filtered air enters the inlet of the airend where two rotors un-mesh. As the rotors re-mesh, the space is reduced on the opposite side of the airend and thus, the air is compressed and moved to the discharge port.
Reciprocating
Reciprocating compressors are a positive displacement machine, which means using a piston within a cylinder they increase the pressure of the air by reducing its volume, thus taking in successive volumes of air that is confined within a closed space and elevating this air to a higher pressure
Packaged Air Systmes
In recent years, various manufacturers have been stepping up their design and production of “packaged” air systems. It might be more correctly defined as “pre-packaged” systems. These come from the factory with many of the complimentary components for a complete system already mounted on a skid, ready for installation.
Oil-Free
Oil-Free compressors are available as rotary screw, piston, and centrifugal designs. The rotary screw utilizes specially designed air ends to compress air without oil in the compression chamber; the centrifugal is oil-free by design with oil lubricated running gear separated from the air by shaft seals and atmospheric vents.
High Pressure
High-quality high pressure air compressors by Sauer run at ranges from 100 to 5,000 PSI. Engineered for continuous operation in extreme environments, the 3-stage design lowers cylinder compression temperatures, and reduces the pressure ratio per cylinder.
