ToughJacket Hose

Parflex TOUGHJACKET ™ hose covers are made with a specially-formulated polyurethane jacket that exceeds industry requirements for abrasion resistance by 650 times. The coefficient of friction is extremely low, which means there is less potential for damage to the outer cover.

TOUGHJACKET ™ Hose Characteristics: 

  • ToughJacket hose is lightweight. There is a 30-70% reduction in weight compared to competitive constructions.
  • It’s flexible and the outside diameter is smaller. A 10-30% reduction in the O.D. allows for a tighter bend radius, which means easier routing.
  • Continuous long lengths are available up to 750 feet.
  • Low length change when under pressure. The length change for ToughJacket hose is 1-4%. The SAE acceptable change in length specification is +2% to -4%.Most hose lengths shrink at least 2% in a restricted environment, which can spell trouble for hose and cable tracks.

563TJ Hose – SAE J517 100R17

Lowest length change under pressure (+/- 1%).

Available in dash sizes 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16. Length change for the 563TJ hydraulic hose is +/- 1%, so it is ideal for boom and cable track applications where long lengths are required. It’s also up to 42% lighter than comparable 100R17 hoses.
