Northborough, MA (12-17-2018) – The Hope Group announced today that it has been certified to AS9100 and AS9120, the quality management systems specifically designed for manufacturers and distributors of aerospace industry products.

The Hope Group’s O-rings and seals business unit will benefit most directly from the AS9100 certification, according to Ferland. O-rings and seals are sold to the commercial and military aerospace industry, as well as to non-aerospace customers. According to the company, AS9100 is more rigorous than the ISO 9001 standard to which many manufacturers certify, with AS9100/AS9120 incorporating all of the ISO 9001 requirements as well as additional aerospace specific requirements that are used to plan, build, test, and deliver products and services for the aerospace industry.
The Hope Group’s AS9100 certification was issued by SAI Global. According to Lamothe, The Hope Group began developing new systems and processes to meet the demanding requirements of the AS9100/AS9120 Quality Management System in April of 2018. The two day on-site certification audit in early November concluded The Hope Group was in full compliance and excelled in the areas of Management commitment, internal auditing, quality assurance methods, and aerospace order processing capabilities.
