ParkerStore Open House to feature Trade Show and Technology Workshops
Northborough, MA (4-12-2017) – Tony Cantone, Co-President of The Hope Group, a subsidiary of THG Corporation, today announced that the company will host an Open House, Trade Show, and series of Technology Seminars on May 10, 2017 to celebrate its Grand Opening of its eighth ParkerStore at its newest location, 350 Sackett Point Road, No. Haven, Conn. The Hope Group was founded in 1933 as a supplier of industrial rubber products and since then has expanded to become the premier Parker distributor in New England and recognized as a leading Hydraulic and Pneumatic custom power unit designer/builder serving the needs of the military, medical, power generation, marine, mobile, and transportation markets.
“We are pleased to continue our growth in the region through our acquisition of the former Connecticut Fluid Power (CFP) of North Haven, and with this relocation and expansion of the facility to better serve its customers,” said Tony. “The new ParkerStore in North Haven will bring while-you-wait replacement services for damaged hose assemblies vital to our customers operating machinery and vehicles,” he added.
Grand Opening to Feature
Technical Seminars
The Grand Opening on May 10, 2017 will feature a series of Technology Workshops, according to Mark Ferland, Co-President of The Hope Group, to include Hydraulic Fittings Thread ID Training, Safety Works Hydraulic Plumbing Safety Training, Variable Speed Control systems, and Basics of Pneumatic Technology. Each of the four Seminars will be conducted by certified trainers from Parker Hannifin and The Hope Group.
-Hydraulic Fittings Thread ID
Certified trainers from Parker and The Hope Group provide students with instruction and hands-on training in various sealing methods common to hydraulics and to gain a working knowledge of the four-step process necessary to identify threads.
-Safety Works Training
The hydraulic plumbing seminar addresses the issue of hydraulic fluid escaping from pinhole leaks in hoses caused by factors such as age, incompatible fluids, hose twist, and minimum bend radius violations.
-Variable Speed Control
This seminar will provide an overview and live demonstration of the benefits of drive controlled pumps and variable speed control for flow rate and pressure control in hydraulic power units.
-Basics of Pneumatic Technology
Learn about the applications of pneumatic technology including the operation of pneumatic components, circuits, and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.

Trade Show to Feature Parker Products
As part of the Grand Opening celebration on May 10, 2017, The Hope Group and Parker are sponsoring a Trade Show that will feature the latest in Fluid Connector, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Automation, and Sealing technology products and systems. On exhibit will be information about Parker cylinders, valves, hose assemblies, hose crimpers, pneumatic fittings, tube fittings, quick disconnects, seals, and other components. Trained and certified experts in the various products will provide demonstrations and will be prepared to answer questions.
Other exhibits will include products for the Marine industry including filtration options and security systems offered by Yacht Protector. There will be information about available compressor equipment from Kaeser and from Hope Air Systems, another subsidiary of THG Corporation, which now offers a line of piston compressors for general industrial use.
